Ryan "Coach Mulls" Mullaney
Football Development Coach | Athlete Mentor
For more than 26 years, Ryan “Coach Mulls” Mullaney has dedicated his life to developing football players and helping young athletes pursue their dreams.
As the Owner and Founder of Football Player Development LLC, Coach Mulls has trained and mentored over 2,000 athletes, many of whom have gone on to compete at the college level — and some in the NFL.
But his coaching philosophy goes far beyond drills and technique. It’s about resilience, identity, and helping athletes believe they belong on bigger stages.
From Player to Mentor
Coach Mullaney’s journey started on the field.
He played linebacker at both University of Colorado Boulder and University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
After college, he pursued the professional level and signed contracts with four NFL teams, as well as teams in the CFL and USFL.
During that time, he transitioned from linebacker to defensive line, learning firsthand what it takes to adapt and compete at the highest levels.
But the journey wasn’t easy.
“I got cut six times,” Coach Mulls says. “That experience allows me to teach athletes how to overcome adversity and keep chasing the dream no matter what happens.”
Those lessons became the foundation of his coaching philosophy.
Building the Next Generation of Players
Before launching Football Player Development LLC, Coach Mullaney spent two decades leading Team Attack Academy (TAA), a highly respected football training program.
TAA successfully developed athletes for years until the COVID-19 shutdowns closed facilities and training parks, forcing the program to pause operations.
Instead of walking away, Coach Mulls chose to reinvent the model.
He created Football Player Development LLC to reach a broader audience of athletes, free from the limitations of single training locations.
Today, his program focuses on:
• Skill development for high school football players
• Mental resilience and leadership training
• Recruiting preparation and exposure
• Building confidence on and off the field
His mission is simple: help athletes unlock their potential and pursue the highest level of their sport.

Coach Mullaney’s background extends beyond football.
His career has combined business leadership, athlete mentorship, and strategic program development, allowing him to create environments where athletes can grow not only as competitors, but as individuals.

Director of Football Operations at Fan Day Nation
In addition to leading Football Player Development LLC, Coach Mulls serves as the Director of Football Operations for Fan Day Nation.
In this role, Coach Mulls is responsible for identifying, mentoring, and connecting football athletes to the Fan Day Nation platform, helping them gain the visibility and support needed to reach the next level of their careers.
Drawing on more than two decades of coaching experience, he works directly with players, families, and football programs to bring talented athletes into the Fan Day Nation ecosystem where they can access branding support, recruiting guidance, highlight development, and mentorship.
By bridging the gap between athlete development and athlete visibility, Coach Mulls helps ensure that players are not only prepared to compete, but also positioned to be seen.
Through his leadership, Fan Day Nation continues to expand its football network and create opportunities for athletes who are ready to take their game, and their story, to the next level.
