Born to Be a Fan
For Andy Mortimer, being a fan isn't just a pastime: it's a way of life. Raised in Maryland, Andy has been surrounded by passionate sports culture for as long as he can remember. But while many fans cheer from the sidelines or rep their favorite jerseys, Andy went a step further. He turned his love for the game into something bigger: a thriving digital community for Ravens, Terrapins, and Orioles fans alike.
Now in his first year of community college, Andy is juggling classes, hobbies, and a fast-growing online presence. It’s not always easy to balance school with content creation, but for Andy, the passion has always been worth the effort. “I’ve been running my main fan page for almost 7 years,” he says. “It’s taken a long time to get where I am, and I’m proud of it.”

Ravens.Headline: A Blueprint for Real Fan Engagement
Andy’s main project, Ravens.Headline, has become a go-to space for diehard Baltimore Ravens fans. With over 3,700 followers and counting, the page serves up everything from breaking news and stats to highlight reels and fan discussions. The growth didn’t happen overnight. It came from years of consistency: showing up day after day to create content that’s clear, trustworthy, and genuinely fun to engage with.
Andy’s editing style is refreshingly simple. “I’m not great at photo editing or fancy graphics,” he admits. “At first, I didn’t think I’d be able to keep up with my competition. But what I learned is that you don’t need to be flashy. You just need to be consistent, engaging, and know what you’re talking about.”
That mindset – real over perfect – has become the cornerstone of his approach.

Building More Than One Brand
As Andy’s confidence and skills grew, so did his creative ambitions. He expanded his digital presence with two more accounts: Terps.Headline, focused on University of Maryland athletics, and Gunnar.clips, a more niche fan page dedicated to Gunnar Henderson, the Baltimore Orioles, and all things MLB.
Each page reflects a different corner of Andy’s sports world, and each one gives fans a fresh way to connect around their favorite players and teams. What ties them together is Andy’s voice: approachable, positive, and deeply tuned into what fans care about. “I love being able to connect with other people who care as much as I do,” he says. “It’s not just about the team, it’s about the community.”

Keeping It Real,On and Off the Screen
Outside the world of sports content, Andy is just as passionate. He plays golf, collects sports memorabilia, and spends plenty of downtime on sports video games, especially Madden 25, NBA 2K25, and EA CFB 25. He’s the kind of guy who doesn’t just follow sports, he lives them: in every way he can.
What really sets Andy apart isn’t a viral video or a follower milestone, it’s his mindset. He’s patient, persistent, and doesn’t buy into shortcuts. “There are so many accounts that try to blow up fast,” he says. “But for me, it’s about building something that lasts. I want people to trust my page, enjoy the content, and come back for more.”

More Than Just a Hobby
Though it started as a side project, Andy’s content creation has become something much bigger. It’s a creative outlet. It’s a personal challenge. And most importantly, it’s a living example of what happens when you stay committed to what you love.
Even with the demands of college, Andy never stops showing up for his audience. Whether he’s covering a Ravens game or shouting out Maryland volleyball, he’s always tuned in, always present. That dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. His community is growing, and so is the impact of his work.

Looking Ahead
Andy isn’t exactly sure where his fan pages will lead, but that’s part of what excites him. Maybe it turns into a career in sports media. Maybe it becomes a launchpad for something new. Or maybe it just stays what it is: a place where fans can gather, talk, and celebrate the teams they love.
Whatever happens next, Andy knows he’s doing something that matters to him, and to others. “You don’t have to have perfect editing or a million followers,” he says. “You just have to care. You have to show up. And if you do that, good things will happen.”
